Course Facilitator
Dr. Wooten, a seasoned DBT facilitator and clinical trainer of 20+ years, is launching a multi-track DBT Training program in Spring 2026 for mental health professionals across various stages of their career. Whether you're just starting out or leading a DBT team, this training is intentionally designed to meet you where you are—while guiding you toward advanced clinical skill and confidence.

Training Delivery
Training launches March 2026 *Exact dates to be announced
Didactic Sessions will be in person. Consultations sessions will be hybrid.
Didactic Series: 2.5 hours each.
Session I:
Foundations in DBT. Understanding the behavioral paradigm on which DBT rests; the integration of other theoretical orientations embedded into DBT framework; Dialectics and balancing the primary principles; DBT’s adaptation of the biopsychosocial model of emotional responding.

Session II:
The Mechanics: How to implement the five elements into your practice setting; Teaching methods for Skills Training Group; Using the Diary Card to organize Individual Therapy Sessions.

Session III:
The Mechanics Continued: Using Behavior Chain Analysis to build intervention models on target behaviors, Understanding secondary targets and effective therapist strategies.
Session IV:
Managing High Risk Behaviors; Working with Movement and Flow.
Consultation Series: (90-min each) Hybrid
Consultation group meetings with training cohorts provided to discuss provider specific needs regarding implementation, case conceptualization and review, team development and additional training needs.
NOTE: Details regarding CEU credits, scheduling, and registration will be shared with all who express interest.​​​
